Glamis

Glamis season is practically over, yet there are still travelers on the road heading that way and returning with mud covered toys. Listening to some travelers they understand that the current temperatures running anywhere from high 80s to high 90s during the day are not only bad for the vehicles but also uncomfortable and bad for the health. Instead think about heading out to Ocotillo Wells. There arent any sand dunes here, but there are a few places with some fair sand, otherwise its mainly rock turain. Even though Glamis season is practically at a hault it doesn't mean that there arent other places to enjoy your off-roading fun!

Pacific Coast Highway

Grab your bike and go for a nice cruise down the never ending Pacific Coast Highway. Low 70's all week with a nice breeze.

Kayak

Get in tune with nature and what better way to do it, than to go kayaking! Grab a few friends, call it a road trip, and head down to San Diego. The weather seems very promising ranging in the low 70's all week. Be sure to check out La Jolla Kayaking!

Hiking!

Looking for a good hike? Look no further than Echo Mountain (via Sam Merrill Trail) in Altadena, California. Be aware that it is a five mile round trip hike. The weather is going to be just above 72 all week, perfect for this trail. With the sunny climate and clarity, the view you'll have at the end of the one way hike will be astonishing!

River Sweet River

The river is looking like a lovely place to spend the week or just a weekend. The weather is in the mid 80's range all week, and is going to hit 90's for the weekend. With the river or the lake there is lots to do. Water bikes are available for rent in Lake Havasu as well as boats and waterskis and wakeboards. The beaches are all lovely. With so much to do and only about 4 hours from Orange County it is a great way to spend a warm weekend!

The Beach is that way

The surfing forecast isn't looking too promising this week for Huntington Beach. Mainly forming from the North-West wind swells with waves of two to three feet with an occasional 4. Conditions seem to be poor to fair.

The weather isn't looking any better either. Partly cloudy until Thursday where the sun will finally break out. If you like gloomy beach days, the next couple days are dedicated to you. For the rest of us, hang in there. The summer season is almost here.

Big Bear

The ski and snowboarding season is officially over at Big Bear. Although the season may be over, don't let this stop you from going to Big Bear. They will be plenty of things to do. Attend the Snow Summit Scenic Sky Chair, golfing, hiking and mountain biking. All of which will open on May 21st!

One advice though, don't plan to go to Big Bear today.
Reason #1: There's not much to do.
Reason #2: There is a severe weather alert. Winds reaching up to 30mph with gusts up to 50 mph.

Severe weather alert is expected to be instated until Tuesday.
